A Circle of Stones
A shamanic exploration of the Medicine Wheel – Eagle, Coyote, Bear and Buffalo Medicine. A process of connection and personal empowerment that will serve you for a lifetime.
Shamanism is a very sacred and ancient practice, believed to be the oldest integrative healing practice on the planet. It gives us a lifelong process, and its power is truly felt in the bones, with ripples of direct revelation and inspiration. In this committed circle, we explore the twelve spiritual teachings of the Medicine Wheel through shamanic journey, ceremony, sound healing, breathwork, dance, chant and other experiences.
Why the Medicine Wheel?
We are being called to unity, awakened consciousness, and a deep connection with the Earth and all of our relations. We are being called to know ourselves and our highest purpose at this time. We are being called to the circle.
The Medicine Wheel gives us a circle of knowledge we can breathe into our hearts, our lives and our actions. We remember that we are connected to all that live on the Earth, and that the minerals, plants and animals are our teachers. We hear the stories that ride on the winds and the wisdom of the rocks that have been here since the beginning of time. We listen to the plants’ messages of health and vitality, and to the animals as they share their gifts of love and their lessons of life. It is a beautiful and life-transforming dance. Aho!

How the circle works
- Each season, we circle six times, live online, every other week.
- In North Carolina, the circle is also offered in person in Vass (Woodlake). The in-person format includes the two-day retreat each season, plus one more in-person day in the two months after the retreat. An in-person circle in Pennsylvania may reopen – let Cyndy know if you are interested.
- Begin with any season and complete the four in whatever order you choose.
- Each season includes one private hour with Cyndy, to use any way you choose.
- Complete all four seasons to receive certification and qualify for the second year.
Before your first season
To learn the shamanic journey process, the one-time prerequisite is Self-Healing Through Shamanic Journey, offered online and in person.
It is also highly recommended that you schedule two private sessions first: a Chakra Clearing, to ready your energy field for these profound teachings, and a Soul Retrieval Ceremony, to reclaim the birthright gifts and essence you may have set aside because of life’s traumas.
Seasonal retreats
At the start of each season there is a two-day, in-person retreat – Eagle, Coyote, Bear and White Buffalo Medicine – to share the ceremonies, dances and experiences that are so powerful to do in each other’s presence. The retreats are optional for the online circle (and required for the in-person format). They are open to everyone, with no experience or prerequisites needed. The online apprenticeship holds the core teachings and deepens what we experience at the retreats.
After the four seasons
Once you complete all four seasons, you may continue to the Second Year of the Circle of Stones, where we dive deeply into the ethics and skills of bringing your gifts to others.

Cyndy “Snake Dancer” Paige
Cyndy “Snake Dancer” Paige received her name from Great Spirit in a profound vision quest, and knew it was a call to a healing path. Snake is regarded as a healer and teacher in spiritual traditions throughout the world, and holds a special place in the Native American medicine tradition.
Cyndy is of Muscogee Creek and Choctaw heritage and is a long-time Council member of the Buffalo Trace Society, founded by the late Grandmother Pathweaver. Over three decades she has completed multi-year initiatory apprenticeships with many medicine teachers, a master drummer, a Grammy-nominated sound healer, a pioneer in past life regression, and numerous healers.
She founded Rhythm of the Earth in 2013 to share healing and earth-based spirituality through her private healing practice, one- and two-year shamanic apprenticeships, vision quests, solstice and equinox retreats, and workshops. She is a guest speaker at conferences and independent schools, and she creates – and helps others create – personal medicine tools such as drums, rattles and medicine bags. She humbly honors her teachers, both seen and unseen.
