A Journey of Empowerment and Connection
Why shamanism matters now, and the steps for walking the path with Cyndy.
The beating heart of our existence
For thousands of years, people on every continent have understood shamanism as the beating heart of our very existence. It is the oldest spiritual healing practice we know of. We know this from ancient cave drawings that tell the shamanic stories of our Ancestors – left there for us to find, so that we would not forget that everything is connected. Connection with all is at the very core of shamanism.
Among scholars and practitioners of shamanism, it is understood that everything has a spirit, everything is alive, and everything has something to teach us. We can all access that vast knowledge, strengthen our intuition, and live a more empowered and connected life. Imagine that!
Shamanic healing and practice light a path we can put our feet on now, toward unity, acceptance, understanding, trust, compassion, humility and the healing of humanity. Through a simple process that anyone can learn, we open our hearts and listen to the natural world – the elements, the animals, the winged ones, the swimmers, the trees, plants, crystals and stones. If we listen deeply, we can even hear our Ancestors. If we listen, what might we learn? What might we feel? How might our lives be different?
Shamanism is the practice of deep listening with clear intention. We are hard-wired for this journey. We remember, on a cellular level, how to put our feet on this path.
In my humble opinion, what we learn through these experiences can guide us toward life-shifting, uplifted consciousness. It is truly an illuminating journey that points us toward our truth – your individual and unique truth.

Cyndy “Snake Dancer” Paige
Cyndy “Snake Dancer” Paige received her name from Great Spirit in a profound vision quest, and knew it was a call to a healing path. Snake is regarded as a healer and teacher in spiritual traditions throughout the world, and holds a special place in the Native American medicine tradition.
Cyndy is of Muscogee Creek and Choctaw heritage and is a long-time Council member of the Buffalo Trace Society, founded by the late Grandmother Pathweaver. Over three decades she has completed multi-year initiatory apprenticeships with many medicine teachers, a master drummer, a Grammy-nominated sound healer, a pioneer in past life regression, and numerous healers.
She founded Rhythm of the Earth in 2013 to share healing and earth-based spirituality through her private healing practice, one- and two-year shamanic apprenticeships, vision quests, solstice and equinox retreats, and workshops. She is a guest speaker at conferences and independent schools, and she creates – and helps others create – personal medicine tools such as drums, rattles and medicine bags. She humbly honors her teachers, both seen and unseen.
