The story of this piece
One of a kind · made with honor in a sacred and traditional way
A deer-skin drum made in the old way: the hide fully overlaps the frame and is held with one continuous lace of elk hide. Across the back, the eight-pointed star lacing forms the center of the Medicine Wheel. The frame is solid Canadian yellow cedar, made by a reverent craftsman in Canada, strong yet light.
